We have added Peterborough to our final tour.

The show goes down tomorrow (Sunday Oct 16) at The Spill in Peterborough. Miesha and The Spanks will be opening and we will be enjoying BBQ from Muddys. We’re also be giving away a free 7″ to the first 15 paying customers. Did we mention it was in Peterborough?? Thanks to Kingston and Ottawa for ruling. We love you.

We have our winners!!! Thanks to everyone who sent in haikus and awesome stories and to the
dude who sez his girlfriend plays Bon Iver on repeat, all we can say is SORRY. The winners have been sent emails and there are no losers. ‘Cause that’s the way it goes in The World of C’mon (Twoc?). We are rolling down (up?) the highway (cue Fred Turner……Let It Roll!!!!) towards Kingston and our first real show of the tour. Tonight we drink Grandpas Socks (it’s a drink). To Sirs and Siresses with Love, C’mon.

Last Toronto shows and Chemical Live Recording

Heyo!!! So now that Katie is safe in the country and we have jammed a couple of times we can confirm that the show at Cherry Colas will lean heavily on toons from our first 2 records and The Bovine show will be more of the 3rd and 4th. We are also sorting thru the requests to attend the Chemical recording and you’ll be getting notice in the next couple of days if yr in. Our tour starts tonight at The Mod Club in Toronto. We are opening for Fucked Up (10:10 stage time) along with Biblical, Actual Water and Wyrd Visions. It’s all ages.

So…we are doing a live recording at Chemical Sound in Toronto on Monday Oct 17th. We have 30 passes available for folks who want to go. While we are glad the Junos finally added a “Hard Rock/Metal” category (hereby called the “Voivod”), they still missed the chance to add “Best Van” at the same time. We hope they will come around and add the category that the midnight alleys and gutters will know as “The Freedom”.

After 9 years, 4 full lengths, 4 7″s, 1 10″, 3 EPs, 1 compilation album, 8 Canadian tours, 1 European tour, a couple rounds of SXSW, and NO stupid videos, the Canadian/USA cross-border Rock and Roll of C’mon will cease to exist after Saturday Oct 22 2011. Why are we breaking up, you ask??

Couldn’t stand the thought of eating or drinking Tim Horton’s ever again.
Never want to play another all ages show.
The only drumstick company Dean uses went out of business.
Bummed there isn’t a ‘Best Van’ category at The Junos.

We will be playing our final 2 weeks of shows in Ontario and Quebec to say goodbye to the best fans a band could ever have. The first 40 paying customers at each show (with one little exception) will receive a free copy of the new C’mon 7″. This double A-side features a new recording of one of the first songs C’mon ever wrote yet was never released, and the very last song we ever wrote. The 7″ is a co-release by Yeah Right! Records (thanks Tony, as always) and our fake label, Blown Speaker. On Monday Oct 17 we will be doing a live recording at Chemical Sound in Toronto and will be having a contest for possible attendees in the next couple of weeks at www.thisiscmon.com.

We would like to take this opportunity to thank everyone who helped to keep C’mon up and running during our tenure.
We fucking love you.
